The city of Thousand Oaks is seeking residents interested in serving on advisory panels regarding affordable housing, social services, disabled access issues and open space trails.

Five members are needed indefinitely on the Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Committee to provide suggestions to the City Council about developing and preserving housing for those with low and moderate incomes. The committee will include representatives from two local nonprofit housing organizations, Many Mansions and the Area Housing Authority.

Eleven vacancies must be filled on the Social Services Ad Hoc Committee, which advises the city on how to distribute federal grants and other funds. Appointments last up to a year.
