Man Gets 29 Years for Kidnapping Prostitute
A judge sentenced a Beverly Hills man to 29 years to life in prison Wednesday for forcing a woman to return to a Koreatown prostitution ring against her will.
In April, Kenith Park, 37, was convicted of kidnapping and making criminal threats.
Officials described him as the muscle of the prostitution ring, bullying the women and ferrying them to and from customers.
Last summer, Sook Hee Ko left the apartment from which the ring operated and went to a nightclub. Park followed and forced her return, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Ronald Goudy.
