If BCS Leaves, This Fan Sure Won’t Myth It
College football fans have to do what I do: Ignore the BCS and don’t recognize a national champion. Because there’s no playoff system, the declaration of a national champion is mythical.
No true fan wants to continue with the current BCS rankings-driven system where all the bowls become meaningless except one. I used to look forward to the Rose Bowl. Now it’s meaningless three out of four years. I resent that.
We are being held hostage by a few outdated bowl representatives and other sponsors. And perhaps some stat nerds.
