Man Killed in Ambush at Golden Gate Park
A gunman wearing a military-style camouflage outfit fatally shot a 21-year-old man as he was getting into his friend’s car at Golden Gate Park, police said.
The assailant ran from the park.
Police said the victim, who pleaded with neighbors for help before collapsing on the street, was the target of a premeditated ambush Saturday.
He later was pronounced dead at San Francisco General Hospital.
“There appears to have been some deliberation and a purpose to the suspect’s actions that leads us to believe it was not random,” said Homicide Inspector Kelly Carroll.
No arrests have been made, police said Monday.
