From Staff and Wire Reports

Authorities have finished cutting down and counting plants in possibly the largest marijuana garden ever found in the state.

Drug officers completed the job Monday in a remote region of the Tule River Indian Reservation about 25 miles east of Porterville. Officials reportedly found more than 72,000 plants.

“This is perhaps the largest garden in the state this year, if not in history,” said Tulare County Sheriff’s Lt. Donna Perry.
