Pick-Six Players Target Large Carry-Over

Share

The largest pick six carry-over in about nine months -- $50,998 -- awaits players this evening.

On an eight-race card, the pick six begins with the third and the race is one of two for thoroughbreds in the sequence.

In the $2,500 claimer at 4 1/2 furlongs, Knight Raider, who began his career with trainer Bruce Headley, will try for his fourth consecutive win as he make his debut for owner Robert Walls and trainer Chuck Treece.

The other thoroughbred race features maiden fillies and mares racing for a $2,500 tag. Winsome Miss will try to give trainer John Sadler his seventh victory among 10 starters at Los Alamitos as she leaves from the outside in the field of seven.

The picks: 1. Especially Pancho. 2. Mebered. 3. Wayne’s Choice. 4. Picasso Toll. 5. Winsome Miss. 6. Latin One. 7. Runahalf. 8. Princessofquitealot.

Four! Especially Pancho and Frekle Asset in the first, Mebered and Deft in the second, Flying Jeb, Knight Raider and Wayne’s Choice in the third and Picasso Toll and A Classic Pie in the fourth.

Shots in the dark: Susies Request is a first-time starter in a bad race in the fifth. Someone In Need should improve for trainer Felix Gonzalez with the experience of a race in the sixth.
