Pipe-Bomb Suspect Waives Hearing Right
From Times Wire Reports
A man charged in connection with a pipe-bomb blast that damaged a store and elementary school in Rail Road Flat last year waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Calaveras County Superior Court.
Roger Brian Gibbings, 32, was arrested in July. He had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday to determine if there was sufficient evidence to hold him for trial.
Gibbings’ case will now go to trial.
Gibbings, being held on $60,000 bail, was ordered to return to court Sept. 22.
