Georgia Tech vs. Oklahoma State
* Site: Alamodome, San Antonio
* What to watch for: These are teams that believe in defense and an up-tempo offense with three-guard lineups. Nevertheless, one of the important battlegrounds will be inside. Oklahoma State has undersized starters in Joey Graham, who is 6 feet 7, and Ivan McFarlin, who is 6-8. Georgia Tech counters with 7-1 center Luke Schenscher. Georgia Tech Coach Paul Hewitt is concerned about the versatility of Graham, a difficult matchup because of his ability to drive to the basket. “He’s been the X-factor as far as I’m concerned,” Hewitt said. However, he hopes Schenscher can cause problems offensively because of his size advantage.
* Key to the game: Point guards John Lucas of Oklahoma State and Jarrett Jack of Georgia Tech will be the focal point, but whoever takes the advantage inside -- Oklahoma State with quickness or Georgia Tech with size -- should have control.
* Projected winner: Oklahoma State.
