Say Hey, Bonds’ Homer Becomes a Juicy Subject
- Share via
After hearing about Barry Bonds’ 661st homer, which surpassed Willie Mays on the all-time list, I can’t help but feel that Major League Baseball is slowly setting itself up for what could be a major fall.
With the steroid controversy surrounding Bonds’ personal trainer and the fact that baseball bosses and players can’t agree on a strict drug-testing policy, it’s clear that whatever Bonds does or has done will be under a cloud until a real policy comes about.
It would be a sad day if steroid use throughout the majors were shown to be as prevalent as some current and former players have said. It’s just too bad we can’t unleash Olympic drug testers on Major League Baseball and clear this thing up once and for all. I’m sure Willie Mays, Hank Aaron and maybe Bonds himself would appreciate that.
