New, Expanded Indian Museum Is Proposed
From Times Wire Reports
A new California Indian museum soon could replace the 64-year-old existing one at Sutter’s Fort.
The expanded museum, to be known as the California Indian Heritage Center, would be built at one of three locations in Sacramento County, according to a state task force.
While the proposed 60,000 square-foot cultural center is still years away from construction, organizers say it would vastly expand the concept of a California Indian museum.
