An Anaheim man was arrested Wednesday after he shot a man three times during an argument, police said.

Daniel Ernest Gray, 24, was taken into custody about 11 a.m. after police found him in a garage aiming a shotgun at the wounded victim, Sgt. Rick Martinez said.

More than two dozen police officers responded after a dispatcher overheard gunshots being fired when a neighbor called police. When officers arrived at the garage in a four-unit apartment complex in the 3500 block of Cornelia Circle, they found the victim on the ground, wounded in the buttocks and upper leg, Martinez said.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital. His injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.

According to neighbors, Gray and the victim had been feuding for some time, but police did not immediately know the reason for the shooting, Martinez said.

Police said both men lived at the complex.

Gray was taken to Anaheim City Jail and booked on suspicion of attempted murder. His bail was set at $1 million.
