A Piru teenager and an Agoura Hills man died early Monday in separate accidents in Ventura County, authorities said.

Timothy J. Robledo, 18, was driving eastbound on California 126 minutes after midnight when his vehicle drifted off the road west of 8th Street in Santa Paula, authorities said.

The 1990 Honda Accord hit the center divider guardrail and a tree before continuing down an embankment and hitting two more trees, authorities said. Robledo, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

California Highway Patrol officials said a backpack with several empty beer cans inside was found nearby.

In another accident, Ryan Clark, 20, of Agoura Hills was traveling south on California 23 in Thousand Oaks about 1 a.m. when he lost control of his 1989 GMC pickup, authorities said.

After passing the Sunset Hills Boulevard exit, Clark’s car struck a guardrail and went down an embankment, authorities said. The truck overturned and came to a stop by a chain-link fence. Clark, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown about 42 feet from the vehicle and hit a tree. He died of multiple blunt-force injuries.
