Woman Held in Fatal Stabbing of Son, 10

A 28-year-old El Sereno woman was being held without bail Saturday after allegedly stabbing her 10-year-son to death and attempting suicide, authorities said.
Rosa Santoyo was at the Los Angeles County Jail ward in satisfactory condition with lacerations on one arm after the fatal stabbing Friday, said Officer Esther Reyes, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department. “No motive has been established,” said Reyes, who did not release the boy’s name.
