Authorities Search for 130 Missing Firearms
Federal authorities are working to recover 130 firearms missing from a Millbrae storage facility.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms learned of the theft Wednesday, a week after the guns -- including rifles, shotguns, revolvers and pistols -- were discovered missing. The storage facility belongs to a federally licensed gun dealer.
The theft marks the second crime in recent weeks involving dangerous weapons in San Mateo County. In July, 200 pounds of explosives and bomb-making hardware were stolen from a storage locker used by two public safety agencies.
