TCU Suffers Upset Loss
Jessica Dickson made a 35-foot desperation shot to end the first overtime, then added nine more points in the second overtime to lead South Florida past No. 18-ranked Texas Christian, 89-84, Monday at Tampa, Fla.
Dickson, a freshman forward, scored 20 of her 36 points in regulation for the Bulls (9-12, 2-6 Conference USA). Sandora Irvin’s 24 points led TCU (16-4, 5-2), which made 26 turnovers.
No. 2 Duke 78, Clemson 60 -- Alana Beard scored 26 points and the Blue Devils (17-2, 8-0) beat the Tigers (15-5, 5-4) at Clemson, S.C., for their 51st consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference victory. Duke hasn’t lost an ACC game since 2001.
No. 15 DePaul 90, East Carolina 74 -- Khara Smith had 22 points and 12 rebounds to help the Blue Demons (19-2, 7-1 Conference USA) rout the Pirates (14-6, 5-2) at Greenville, N.C.
