All of a sudden, the St. Louis Blues are scoring goals in bunches.

Doug Weight scored on a rebound at 1:06 of overtime at St. Louis to give the Blues a 4-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning for their first three-game winning streak since mid-December. They’ve totaled 11 goals in those three games.

Before that, they had scored only 17 goals in the previous 13 games, going 2-9-2.

They’ve scored four goals in consecutive victories, reviving an offense that had struggled since Jan. 15 .

“I think we’re just re-establishing the building blocks we started the season with,” Coach Joel Quenneville said. “We want to try to recapture the feeling we had, and we feel we’re headed in the right direction.”

The Blues moved into sixth place in the Western Conference standings, dropping the Kings out of the playoff picture for the moment.

The Kings and Nashville are tied for the eighth and final spot with 65 points, but the Predators hold the edge with six more victories.

Cory Stillman got his 18th goal and had an assist for the Lightning, which lost for the second time in 13 games (10-1-1-1) while playing the first game of a four-game trip.

New York Rangers 6, New York Islanders 2 -- Jaromir Jagr had a goal and an assist in his return from a groin injury, and Mike Dunham made 30 saves in a fight-filled game at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers are 5-0 against the Islanders this season.

Eric Cairns and Dale Purinton fought with 3:54 left as a major scrum involving Islander goalie Garth Snow broke out.

Only Dunham stayed out of the fray. Purinton and Snow were ejected.

Washington 3, New Jersey 1 -- Goalie Olaf Kolzig continued his recent strong play with 43 saves, and Mike Grier, Matt Pettinger and Robert Lang each scored to lead the Capitals at Washington.
