3 Students Held in School Brawl
From a Times Staff Writer
A racially motivated brawl that broke out in the library at Antelope Valley High School on Thursday resulted in three arrests, authorities said.
One student was arrested on suspicion of punching a deputy, and two students were arrested on suspicion of fighting and inciting a riot, said Lt. Stephen Smith of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
A contingent of deputies patrolled the campus and surrounding area for the rest of the day, Smith said, adding that a probe would be opened.
