Sandis Ozolinsh skated with teammates for a second consecutive day, but it remained uncertain when he could play again. Ozolinsh, the Mighty Ducks’ top offensive-minded defenseman, underwent shoulder surgery Jan. 2 and has played only 28 games this season.

“He looks good to me,” Coach Mike Babcock said after the Ducks’ workout Thursday at their Anaheim practice facility. “We’d love for this guy to play.”

The Ducks were at something resembling full strength, with Ozolinsh and winger Mike Leclerc joined on the ice by centers Sergei Fedorov and Steve Rucchin. Leclerc has been sidelined by a sore left knee since March 2 and Fedorov and Rucchin did not practice Wednesday because of flu-like symptoms.

“We thought he’d be back, but he’s not,” Babcock said of Leclerc, sidelined all but 10 games after undergoing off-season knee surgery.

Of Rucchin, Babcock said, “He’s got a big-time ear infection.” Babcock also said Fedorov, who did not play in Monday’s loss to the Montreal Canadiens, was “trying to get back” into the lineup.
