Woman Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run

A Salinas woman was arrested in connection with the hit-and-run death of a volunteer firefighter who was struck while putting out a vehicle fire on Highway 101.
Mario Cunha, 32, a volunteer with the Soledad Fire Department, was dousing the blaze Saturday when a vehicle plowed into him, said California Highway Patrol Officer Art Carbonel. He died instantly.
