Car With Gunshot Victim Crashes
From a Times Staff Writer
A car carrying a gunshot victim to the hospital collided with another car Wednesday and flipped onto its side, ejecting the wounded man.
The crash occurred about 3:45 p.m. in the 7800 block of Florence Avenue in Downey. No one else was injured, but the gunshot victim died an hour later at a hospital, police said.
He and two other people had been driving in Bell Gardens when someone shot into the car, police said.
The name of the victim, who was in his 20s, was not released.
