Road Approval Is a Dead End for California
Re “Rollback of Wild Land Protection Gets Support,” Nov. 17: Once again Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has disappointed me.
His approval of rolling back the wild land protection program of more than 4 million acres in California -- which was begun by former President Clinton -- is tantamount to selling out the people of California to mining and logging interests.
Once a road goes in, wilderness loses. And so do the future generations of Californians.
