Alleged Armed Robber Is Fatally Shot by Police
From Times Staff Reports
Police shot and killed a man who had robbed a liquor store on 92nd Street at gunpoint Sunday evening.
When officers arrived at 6:45 p.m., the clerk pointed out the robber, who was walking away. The man reportedly fired as officers approached, sending one bullet into a patrol car.
The man, who was not identified, had been named in an arrest warrant for murder, authorities said.
