Jason Campbell threw for a career-high 297 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to lead No. 4 Auburn to a 38-20 victory over Arkansas at Auburn, Ala.

With Campbell completing 17 of 19 passes -- all in the first three quarters -- the Tigers (7-0, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) won their ninth consecutive game and lived up to their highest ranking in 10 years.

The Tigers scored on their first five possessions for a 30-0 lead against a team that had given them fits in recent seasons. Twice in the last three meetings, an unranked Razorback team blew out Auburn.

Not this time.

“Offensively, we just dominated in the first half,” Coach Tommy Tuberville said. “It was almost a perfect game for us.”

And that was too much for Arkansas (3-3, 1-2), which all but fell out of contention in the conference’s Western Division.

“When your opponent scores on five consecutive possessions, it makes for a long, long day,” Razorback Coach Houston Nutt said.

No. 12 Georgia 33, Vanderbilt 3 -- David Greene passed for two touchdowns and ran for another at Athens, Ga., leading the Bulldogs to a rout of the Commodores.

Danny Ware rushed for 127 yards and Thomas Brown had 122, including a touchdown for the Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1), to become the first pair of Bulldog runners to go over 100 yards in the same game since Garrison Hearst and Mack Strong in 1992.

Vanderbilt (1-5, 1-3) is one defeat from its 22nd consecutive losing season.

No. 13 Tennessee 21, Mississippi 17 -- Erik Ainge passed to Bret Smith for the winning touchdown with 6:58 to play at Oxford, Miss., and the Volunteers held on to defeat the Rebels (3-4, 2-2).

Tennessee (5-1, 3-1) remained in control in the Eastern Division with their 11th consecutive victory over Mississippi.

No. 22 Florida 52, Middle Tennessee 16 -- Chris Leak threw three touchdown passes, DeShawn Wynn scored three times and the Gators (4-2) routed the Blue Raiders (2-4) at Gainesville, Fla.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Sept. 4 but was postponed because of Hurricane Frances.

Alabama 27, No. 24 Southern Mississippi 3 -- Kenneth Darby rushed for 197 yards and scored two touchdowns at Tuscaloosa, Ala., as the Crimson Tide (5-2) scored its first victory against a ranked opponent in nearly two years.

The Golden Eagles had only 148 yards rushing and 23 yards passing. Alabama last beat a ranked team on Nov. 16, 2002, a 31-0 victory at then-No. 11 Louisiana State.

South Carolina 12, Kentucky 7 -- Quarterback Michael Rathe threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Troy Williamson with 1:28 left, lifting the Gamecocks (5-2, 3-2) past the Wildcats (1-5, 0-3) at Lexington, Ky.
