Music cheers: Loretta Lynn was named artist of the year, and her album “Van Lear Rose” won the best album award at the third annual Americana Music Awards presented Friday in Nashville. Other winners included Mindy Smith (newcomer), Rodney Crowell (song of the year) and Steve Earle (the Spirit of Americana Free Speech Award).

For sale: Flanked by gun-toting guards and security cameras, one of the few Rembrandt paintings not in a museum or private collection goes on public display in Stockholm, Sweden, today -- and on sale. The asking price for the 1635 work, “Minerva in Her Study,” is $46 million. Art dealer Verner Aamell tracked the painting down and persuaded its Canadian owner, who wants to remain anonymous, to sell it.
