Officer, Called to Dog Attack, Shoots Pit Bull

Police were called to the 28000 block of Brush Canyon Drive after a passerby spotted three pit bulls attacking Vladislav Koudymov, 46, of Yorba Linda as he was walking his dog Thursday about 6:30 a.m., police said.
One of the pit bulls was shot five times as it ran toward the responding officer, police said. The other two dogs were taken to Orange County Animal Control.
