Taylor Twellman scored once and helped set up another goal as the New England Revolution eased past the Chicago Fire, 3-0, Wednesday night at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

It took 33 minutes for the unbeaten Revolution to score. But once it found the back of the net, the Fire couldn’t get back into the game.

On the first goal, New England’s Shalrie Joseph made a run and crossed the ball to Twellman, who sent it back to Joseph. The Revolution captain passed to Clint Dempsey in the box. Dempsey tapped the ball up and then caught it perfectly with his right foot to beat Chicago goalkeeper Zach Thornton.
