No. 18 Temple Is Surprised by Florida, 58-55

Dalila Eshe scored 20 points to help Florida defeat No. 18-ranked Temple, 58-55, Saturday at Philadelphia.

Temple (6-1), which was off to its best start since 1981-82, had its 14-game home winning streak ended. Kamesha Hairston led the Owls with a season-high 24 points.

The score was tied, 46-46, before the Gators (5-1) went on a 9-2 run to take a 55-48 lead with 4 minutes 6 seconds remaining.

Temple committed 26 turnovers.
