The time of the game between UC Santa Barbara and Fullerton at Titan Gym on Jan. 4 has been changed from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. The switch was made because of that night’s bowl championship series title game between USC and Texas at the Rose Bowl.... New Mexico forward Joel Box, who saw his playing time steadily diminish this season, has quit the team, the school said. The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Box averaged 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds while playing an average of just under 10 minutes a game.... Junior guard Daryll Hill, St. John’s leading scorer this season, will sit out two games because of a left knee injury, the school announced. Hill averages 13.7 points a game.
