From a Times Staff Writer
A 45-year-old Oxnard man was fatally shot over the weekend after he apparently went to a neighbor’s house to wish friends a happy new year, police said.
Police found Ronnie Perez lying in front of a residence in the 1000 block of G Street after they responded to reports of gunfire about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Perez was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where he later died, police said.
No suspects have been identified.
