Man in Cab Is Killed in Santa Ana

A man was shot to death Thursday by unknown assailants shortly after stepping into a cab and ordering the driver to flee, Santa Ana police said.
Authorities are investigating the 3 a.m. shooting in the 1200 block of Walnut Street and had no suspects as of early evening, police said.
The area is known for drug trafficking.
The man, who was not identified pending notification of his relatives, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead.
