Commercial Gives Fans Rooting Interest

Share

Attention, actors and baseball fans: The biggest casting calls in town this week will be held at Angel Stadium and Dodger Stadium.

In the newest installment of its “I Live For This” ad campaign, Major League Baseball will feature fans instead of players. The Angels and Dodgers will be represented in a commercial by the fan, or group of fans, who best shows passion and dedication to the home team.

That enthusiasm will not necessarily be determined by decibel level or face paint, said Jacqueline Perkes, MLB senior vice president. “We’re really looking for a unique story,” she said. “It could be an 8-year-old child or an 82-year-old woman.”

The auditions, open to anyone 8 or older, are scheduled Tuesday at Angel Stadium and Wednesday at Dodger Stadium, from noon to 8 p.m. at both sites.
