Update -- The Galaxy, which is 3-19-11 away from the Home Depot Center since the start of the 2003 season, tonight plays the first of four games on the road. “I think the players all want to find a way to win on the road,” Coach Steve Sampson said, adding that he believes a victory over the Rapids is “achievable” given Colorado’s struggles this season. “We’re not going to go into these games playing not to lose. We’re going to stick with that mentality. How the game plays out, we’ll see.” The second-place Galaxy trails leader FC Dallas by one point in the Western Conference and plays at Dallas on Saturday. “Dallas is getting points on the road, and so must we,” Sampson said. “That’s our mentality. We have to stay close to Dallas. Three points would do well for us come Wednesday.” The team’s final two road games in this stretch are at Salt Lake City and at San Jose. The Galaxy defeated Colorado, 3-2, at the Home Depot Center on May 8, when Landon Donovan scored on two penalty kicks in the last five minutes.
