From Newsday

A member of rapper the Game’s entourage was shot Monday night outside the studios of a radio station, police said.

Rapper 50 Cent was being interviewed on WQHT-FM when the shooting happened about 10 p.m. He had just made the unexpected announcement that he was kicking his protege the Game out of his crew, G-Unit, for being disloyal. Neither 50 Cent nor the Game was hurt in the incident.

Police said the fight that led to the shooting may have started when the Game, Jason Taylor, and his entourage heard 50 Cent insulting him on the radio. The Game had left the station earlier, but when his group heard the interview they drove back.

Meanwhile, with 50 Cent still on the radio, members of his entourage came out of the station and began fighting with Game’s entourage. As the fight escalated, Kevin Reed, 20, of Los Angeles was shot in the groin, police said.

It was unclear if the Game was present when the shooting took place.

Reed was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan, where he was reported in stable condition Tuesday.

No arrests had been made. Representatives for 50 Cent, his record label and the radio station had no comment.
