Man Kills Girlfriend, Wounds Self, Police Say

A man apparently shot and killed his girlfriend, then shot and seriously wounded himself Friday, police said.
Herman Delos Rios, 53, shot himself in the face after killing Sunday Henig, 50, about 8:20 a.m. in the 500 block of South Parish Place, near Alameda Avenue in Burbank, said police spokeswoman Wanda Givens.
Rios suffered serious facial wounds.
Police arrested him at the home and he was taken to County-USC Medical Center for treatment.
He is being held without bail on suspicion of murder, Givens said.
