More Surgery for Brown

Detroit Piston Coach Larry Brown is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery related to a November hip operation.

Brown’s return will be determined by his doctors, Piston spokesman Kevin Grigg said Tuesday. Grigg would not elaborate on Monday’s surgery.

Brown, 64, missed six games earlier this season after his hip procedure.

Assistant Gar Heard has replaced Brown.

Houston Rocket forward Juwan Howard will be sidelined for at least four weeks after spraining a knee ligament during a collision with teammate Mike James in Monday’s victory over Golden State.... Orlando Magic forward Stacey Augmon was suspended for one game by the NBA for cursing and throwing lotion at a member of the media after Sunday’s loss to New Jersey. Teammate DeShawn Stevenson was fined $7,500 for kicking the ball into the stands at the final buzzer.
