Orlando Fires Davis
In the midst of a six-game losing streak, the Orlando Magic fired Coach Johnny Davis on Thursday.
Davis, hired in 2003, had his team fall to 31-33 and into a tie with Philadelphia for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. Assistant Chris Jent was named interim coach.
Davis was 51-84 with the Magic.
