Quake safety in the kitchen

RE “Kitchen Accomplished” [Nov. 3]: Enjoyed your article on Paula Wolfert’s kitchen. Please get in touch with the good lady -- she is from New York and doesn’t know about California earthquakes, yet she lives in an area close to a major fault.

Tell her to “stick down” her collection of pots! (Use “museum” stickum that is removable.)

I am 85 years old (no computer, and hands too stiff to type) and have lived in L.A. since 1939. Have been through several major earthquakes and have learned my lesson the hard way. Those pots up there, on open shelves! Gawsh!
