Hit-Run Driver Sought in Death of Pedestrian
Inglewood police are seeking the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian on Aviation Boulevard south of Manchester Boulevard.
Carlos Cano, 60, a security guard for a car rental firm, was killed in a lighted crosswalk near his workplace about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses said the driver stopped nearby to pull off a damaged part of his car and sped away.
Police describe the car as a black four-door 2003 to 2005 Honda Accord with a missing right front bumper. The driver is described as Latino, 25 years old, 5 foot 9, 180 pounds and clean-shaven with short, dark hair. Anyone with information is asked to call (310) 412-5134.
