No. 10 Maryland Powered by Doron

Shay Doron scored 16 points to lead No. 10 Maryland to a 75-61 victory over No. 9 Michigan State in the Paradise Jam tournament Friday night at Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Doron also had six assists and five steals.

Ashleigh Newman had 14 points for the Terrapins (4-0), who face No. 2 Tennessee today.

Lindsay Bowen had 21 points for the Spartans (2-2).

In other tournament games: Nicky Anoskie scored 15 points to lead No. 2 Tennessee (4-0) to a 79-65 victory over Gonzaga (1-3).... Natasha Williams scored 20 points to lead No. 12 Minnesota (3-0) to an 83-75 victory over Nevada (0-3).

No. 3 Louisiana State 74, Nebraska 55 -- Seimone Augustus scored 24 points and the Tigers (3-0) overcame a six-point halftime deficit to beat the Cornhuskers (1-2) in the Miami Thanksgiving Classic at Coconut Grove, Fla.

No. 6 Rutgers 66, North Florida 36 -- Cappie Pondexter scored 20 points and the Scarlet Knights (1-0) routed the Ospreys (1-2) in the Junkanoo Jam tournament at Freeport, Bahamas.

In other tournament games: Freshman Erika Arriaran scored 14 points to help No. 18 Texas (2-1) to a 59-55 win over South Carolina.... Jessica Simmonds’ free throw with 9.4 seconds left lifted George Washington (1-1) to a 49-47 upset of No. 19 Purdue (1-1).

No. 7 North Carolina 79, No. 16 Arizona State 72 -- Ivory Latta scored 28 points to lead the Tar Heels (3-0) over the Sun Devils (3-1) in the Caribbean Classic at Cancun, Mexico.

No. 17 DePaul 64, Eastern Michigan 49 -- Allie Quigley scored 21 points to lead the Blue Demons (3-0) over the Eagles (2-1) in the Rainbow Wahine Classic at Honolulu.

No. 20 Vanderbilt 83, Charleston Southern 39 -- Caroline Williams scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Commodores (4-1) over the Buccaneers (1-2) at Nashville.

No. 22 Oklahoma 85, Iowa 68 -- Courtney Paris scored 30 points and twin sister Ashley had 16 points to lead the Sooners (4-1) over the Hawkeyes (1-2) in the Odwalla Classic at San Francisco.

No. 25 New Mexico 61, Marist 54 -- Jana Francis scored 18 points and Dionne Marsh had 17 to lead the Lobos (4-1) over the Red Foxes (0-4) in the Lobo Classic at Albuquerque.
