Development Vote Again Delayed by Speakers
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
For the second time, the City Council postponed a vote on plans by the Irvine Co. to add as many as 4,000 homes to the city’s rural eastern canyons.
An overflow crowd and lengthy list of speakers precluded a vote late Tuesday night, city officials said.
The vote, originally scheduled for Sept. 27, had been postponed until Tuesday to give everyone a chance to speak. The vote is now scheduled Oct. 25.
