What emblem best sums up California’s coast? A variety of designs are being considered for signs that will designate the 1,200-mile California Coastal Trail. Coastwalk, a nonprofit organization that favors a continuous coastal hiking route from Mexico to Canada, is collecting comments to pass on to the California Coastal Conservancy. To weigh in on the decision, which is expected by the end of the year, stop in at a presentation Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Cesar Chavez Park Community Center, 401 Golden Ave., Long Beach.
