Fundraising events for the victims of Hurricane Katrina continue to be announced, including a concert Sunday at the Greek Theatre that will feature performances by the Beach Boys, Frankie Valli, Dick Dale, Paul Rodriquez, Mary Wilson and others. Tickets are $40 at Ticketmaster.

A fundraising concert at Madison Square Garden in New York tonight, featuring Elvis Costello, Jimmy Buffett, Bette Midler, Diana Krall and others, is available on pay-per-view television. Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg, Morgan Freeman, Doris Roberts, Debbie Allen and Ray Romano are among the performers who organizers say have agreed to perform at a benefit dubbed Mississippi Rising, planned for Oct. 1 at the University of Mississippi.

And Arlo Guthrie is planning a two-week trip on Amtrak’s City of New Orleans train in December that will raise money along the way to buy sound and lighting equipment for the many small music clubs of New Orleans that were damaged by the flooding.
