Paris and Pussycats
When the line to the ladies room gets long, a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do. At Mood last Wednesday, we caught diva du jour Paris Hilton exiting the men’s room after primping for her close-up. The heiress was on hand at the Hollywood nightclub to announce the debut of Bombshell Babies, Carmen Electra’s new Pussycat Dolls-inspired burlesque quartet. Electra’s jiggling ladies didn’t disappoint.... Outside, doorman Steven Harlow told us he’s hosting a new Monday night dance club at Joseph’s in Hollywood. We also bumped into scene dandy Nico Golfar, who says he’s teaming up with Harlow for a new Sunday night gala at Element (formerly Blue).... Meanwhile, the nearby Geisha House was closed for two private soirees, so of course we angled our way in. Upstairs, actor/funnyman Jamie Kennedy was shooting a pilot for a new comedy series, and downstairs, an Abercrombie & Fitch bash attracted a number of studmuffins getting jiggy to trip-hop in flip-flops.
Over at LAX, a mere block away from Geisha and Mood, kids were getting down to DJ AM’s homespun hip-hop. Among the ladies in the crowd were the vixens from MTV’s Laguna Beach and AM’s fiancee, Nicole Richie, who was celebrating her birthday with pals Ryan Philippe, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lucas Haas and Nicky Hilton. And DJ AM also made tween queens swoon while spinning at Teen Vogue’s poolside bash at the Hollywood Roosevelt the night before, which attracted such A-listers as Lindsay Lohan, Oliver Hudson, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Metcalfe.
On Tuesday at the Vine Street Lounge, Geena Davis and Donald Sutherland hosted a party for their new ABC show, “Commander in Chief,” in which Davis plays America’s first female president. Isn’t it pretty to think so? ... While supping on Goa Sunsets (a ginger-pineapple confection), crooner Rod Stewart got cozy with his pregnant missus Penny Lancaster last Wednesday at Nirvana, a Beverly Hills lounge with spot-on karma. And last Thursday, actress Shannon Elizabeth partied at the B.H. hotspot with folks from UPN’s “Cuts.”
