Nelson, Picard in Hall of Fame
Larry Nelson and Henry Picard have been voted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Nelson, 58, who won the 1983 U.S. Open and the 1981 and 1987 PGA Championship, was elected on the PGA Tour ballot.
Picard, who died in 1997, won 26 times on the PGA Tour, including the 1938 Masters and 1939 PGA Championship, and was a noted instructor.
The World Golf Foundation board selection committee elected him in the veteran’s category.
The induction ceremony is Oct. 30 at St. Augustine, Fla.
