Oakland 5, at Seattle 2: The Athletics beat the Mariners for the 11th consecutive time. It is the second-longest such streak in club history. The A’s beat the Chicago White Sox 11 times in a row in 1970. They won 16 straight games against the Yankees from September 1989 to May 1991.

Minnesota 14, at Kansas City 3: Justin Morneau hit a three-run homer for the Twins, who have won seven consecutive road games for the first time since Sept. 7-20, 2004. They are one short of the club record for consecutive road victories set in 1965.
