Qantas 747 Hits a Cargo Loader, Damages Engine

A Qantas Boeing 747 damaged an engine Monday after it struck a cargo loader stuck on a taxiway on the south side of Los Angeles International Airport, officials said.
None of the 288 passengers and crew members on Flight 11 from Sydney, Australia, was injured. The passengers were bused to Terminal 4 following the incident, and the aircraft was towed to a maintenance hangar.
