A 12-year-old Hesperia boy, who was wounded Monday in what authorities believe was a road rage shooting on Interstate 15, is not expected to survive.

Authorities are seeking information about Pedro Escobedo, a 43-year-old San Bernardino man they believe shot the boy while driving his white 1996 Ford Explorer near the junction of I-215 and I-15 about 4 p.m. Monday. A warrant was issued Tuesday for his arrest.

San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials do not believe the victim and the suspect knew each other. The victim, Gabriel Garcia, will be removed from life support once doctors find recipients for his organs, officials said. Anyone with information is asked to call (909) 387-3589.
