A survey of works by landmark 1960s Minimalist Dan Flavin will stop at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from May 13 to Aug. 12, the museum said Tuesday. Organized by the Dia Art Foundation in association with the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., “Dan Flavin: A Retrospective” has been touring internationally since October 2004.

Co-curated by Dia’s then-head, Michael Govan -- before his appointment early this year as LACMA director and chief executive -- and Tiffany Bell, director of the Flavin catalogue raisonne, the exhibition includes many of the artist’s signature fluorescent light sculptures in a 30-year chronology.
