The Detroit Pistons have become accustomed to absorbing everyone else’s best shot while piling up road wins this season. What they’re not accustomed to is missing so many of their shots.

Detroit had its NBA-best 11-game winning streak ended by New Jersey, 91-84, Tuesday night as Jason Kidd had 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Nets and made a key three-point shot in the final minute at East Rutherford, N.J.

The Pistons (37-6) were led by Chauncey Billups’ 30 points, but made only 30 of 82 shots (36%).

“We’ve won 22 of our last 24. You play 82 games, and you don’t like to say you didn’t have it, but we didn’t have it tonight,” said Detroit Coach Flip Saunders. “We didn’t capitalize on our opportunities down the stretch.”

The last of Billups’ six three-pointers pulled the Pistons to within 85-84. On New Jersey’s next possession, Nenad Krstic fumbled the ball out of bounds, but Detroit’s Tayshaun Prince was called for an offensive foul followed by Kidd’s three-pointer. The Pistons did not score again.

Phoenix 123, Philadelphia 99 -- Boris Diaw had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists for his first triple-double, and the visiting Suns had seven double-figure scorers in beating the 76ers, playing their third straight game without Allen Iverson, who has a sprained ankle.

John Salmons had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the 76ers suffered their worst loss of the season.

Washington 84, Indiana 79 -- Antawn Jamison had 19 points and 18 rebounds at Washington to help send the Pacers to their sixth straight loss in a mostly ineffective debut for Peja Stojakovic.

Stojakovic, acquired last week from Sacramento for Ron Artest, scored 17 points on four-for-10 shooting, including one for six from three-point range.

Sacramento 98, Denver 91 -- Ron Artest scored 19 points in his home debut, Kevin Martin had a career-high 25 and the Kings held on for their 19th straight home victory over the Nuggets. Carmelo Anthony scored 24 for the Nuggets.

Dallas 98, Chicago 94 -- Josh Howard had 22 points and nine rebounds at Dallas to help the Mavericks win despite losing most of a 30-point lead. Kirk Hinrich led Chicago with 28 points, 26 coming in the second half.
