A charming intro to Hungarian food
“WE recently returned from our trip to Budapest, Hungary, and would like to share our pleasant dining experience in a charming little restaurant on a residential street.
The name is Fulemule Etterem; translated, it means “Nightingale Restaurant.” The 55-seat restaurant is owned and run by Andras Singer, who speaks excellent English.
The service is friendly, the food is excellent, and entrees are varied and moderately priced. They include duck, goose, salmon and lamb in a relaxing atmosphere. Also very popular are the clear goose soup with matzo ball, and cholent (made from beans and smoked meats).
We look forward to going back on our next visit to Hungary.”
Entrees start at around $8. Fulemule Etterem, 1085 Budapest Kofarago utca 5, Budapest, Hungary; 011-36-1-266-7947; www.fulemule.hu.
